December 4, 2025: State Fundraising Solicitation and Corporate Compliance

This presentation provides nonprofit financial managers with a clear overview of charitable solicitation requirements across the U.S., with particular attention to high-risk and heavily enforced states. Participants will learn how to address common compliance challenges, navigate penalties for non-registration, and take practical steps to develop a ROI compliance strategy to stay in good standing with your fundraising activities. The session also highlights how a third-party provider like Affinity Fundraising Registration supports nonprofits by tracking deadlines, managing regulatory changes, and guiding them through each hurdle of the filing and annual renewal process so they can fundraise legally and confidently across all states.

October 30, 2025: Threats to Federal Funding and how to deal with them

The non-profit sector is facing a myriad of threats from the federal government.  Those threats, in turn, are creating additional crises in the lives of nonprofits and the people they serve that raise a host of questions.  What are the biggest issues today?  And what should be done to meet the threats and help nonprofits triumph over them?

Jim Klocke, the CEO of the Massachusetts Nonprofit Network, will provide insights on those questions.  MNN is the state’s nonprofit association, with over 700 member organizations from across Massachusetts.  MNN works to strengthen nonprofits through its work in advocacy, programming, communications and services.
